As you know, the demands and complexity of payroll compliance are constantly changing. It is important to stay current with the issues that constantly affect the payroll profession.
This site is designed to keep our members informed of payroll information on both a local and national level. We invite you to browse our site and encourage all payroll and payroll related professionals to join us at a future chapter meeting!

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of the APA encompasses the Northeastern portion of Pennsylvania, representing Payroll Professionals in Allentown, Bethlehem, Reading and Pocono areas. Our membership includes both large and small employers and Payroll Professionals with many ears of experience and also includes members just starting a career in payroll.
Our goal is to provide our members:
- Educational and informative meetings to increase their payroll knowledge
- Networking opportunities with other payroll professionals
- Support on preparing for the Payroll Certification Exams - CPP and/or FPC
- Earn RCHs toward payroll certification
- Support the goals of the national organization (APA)
- Develop leadership skills



Kenneth M Krum of Jim Thorpe passed away with family at his bedside Saturday April 9th after a courageous 7 month battle with Lymphoma at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia.
Ken had a passion for payroll education and served as a Payroll Instructor for Payroll Professional Learning Classes at both Villanova and the Montgomery County Community Colledge and was instrumental in bringing the Pay Train classes to Penn State University in the Lehigh Valley area. Ken was a Certified Payroll Professioal and served APA National as a Board of Advisor and a member of the Certification Committee, Education Advisory Committee, Pay Train Committee and National Speakers Bureau.
Ken was a founding member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter and served as the first Chapter President of LVC. He also served the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter (SEPA) for many years in many capacities prior to forming the Lehigh Valley Chapter.
Ken will be missed by many Payroll Professionals for his leadership, guidance, help and advice on payroll issues in addition to his friendship through the years.
